Health Tips for Men

August 13, 2018 by admin Leave a Comment

I’m Clint Winters and THIS is IHTV.

Men, it’s time to take a hard look at your health. Isn’t it odd that more men die from heart, liver and kidney disease, influenza, pneumonia, diabetes and COPD annually, yet, women are 33% more likely to visit a doctor? Any macho hang ups you have on visiting a physician needs stop now. Too many men put off going to the doctor, and as you get older, second guessing your health is not the best option. Outside of killers like stroke, heart disease and prostate cancer, there’s more health issues men should be concerned with. For instance, you guys out there might want to consider a heart healthy diet and stay away from processed foods. What we eat can either help or hurt our chances of a cardiac event. Also, stop the smoking, as it can double, even triple, the chances of dying from heart disease.

Stick to fruits, green veggies and grains with a little bit of vitamin D for good measure or other heart healthy supplements. Speaking of food, try portioning your meals and controlling your calorie intake. As we get older, our metabolisms burn less fat; however, eating 5 to 6 smaller meals a day gives your metabolism a boost. And of course, nothing prevents weight gain like good ol’ strength and cardio training. And be wary, fellas, bad eating and exercising habits can affect more than just your weight. Erectile dysfunction is common in males between 41 to 60 years of age, and it only becomes more frequent from there. Athletes eat and work out to maintain their performance, and the bedroom is no exception. If you want to keep up those sexual athletics, avoid trans and animal fats and substitute them with grains and veggies to get the blood pumping where it counts. And, of course, exercise can drop your chances of impotence by nearly 65%. Sure, you could just take a pill, but you could also just eat healthier.

Thank you for watching! Live happy, live healthy, and live in the know.

Seaweed: Healthiest Vegetable on Land and Sea

We were all told as children to eat our vegetables. Most of us probably ended up spending far too much time sitting at the kitchen table until this seemingly slimy, yucky food group was swallowed down.
